Vasileios Lioutas

Dr. Vasileios Lioutas is a Stroke Neurologist. He completed his residency training at Boston University Medical Center and his Stroke Fellowship at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center where he remains on faculty. He is an Assistant Professor of Neurology at Harvard Medical School and serves as the Director of the Vascular Neurology Fellowship. Dr. Lioutas is a clinician investigator with interests in cerebral small vessel disease and intracerebral hemorrhage with particular focus on epidemiology. He is an investigator at the Framingham Heart Study and the Black Women's Health Study as well as the Massachusetts Veterans Epidemiology Research and Information Center. Dr. Lioutas has completed the World Stroke Organization's Future Leaders Program and is currently involved in the development of stroke services in Eastern and Sub-Saharan Africa, as a co-chair of the African Task Force of the WSO.
