Floris Schreuder

Floris Schreuder works as a vascular neurologist and clinical researcher at the Department of Neurology at the Radboudumc, Nijmegen, The Netherlands. He was trained in Neurology at the Maastricht UMC+ (2009-2016), where he also performed his PhD research (Thesis “Non-invasive imaging of the carotid arteries: from structural vessel wall to functional plaque imaging”).
His current research is focused on two main aspects of intracerebral hemorrhage, i.e. secondary brain injury after ICH, and biomarkers for cerebral amyloid angiopathy. He is principal investigator of the ACTION trial (NCT04834388) and CHIPS (NTR NL8831), executive committee member of DIST (NCT05460793), and local principal investigator for TRIDENT (NCT02699645) and the upcoming ASPIRING trial. Previously, he was involved in DIST pilot study (NCT03608423) and the APACHE-AF trial (NCT02565693) as well as multiple imaging and biomarker studies (BIONIC/CAFE, FETCH, PARISK). He is also involved in ischemic stroke trials as part of the CONTRAST consortium (local principal investigator for CASES (ISRCTN14956654) and MrCLEAN no IV (ISRCTN80619088)).
